2025 Prep Transition Dates (2026 Prep Intake) 

• Transition 1: Tuesday 28th October, 9:30am - 10:30am
• Transition 2: Tuesday 11th November, 9:15am - 10:45am
• Transition 3: Tuesday 25th November, 9:15am - 10:45am
• Transition 4: Tuesday 9th December, 9:00am - 1:30pm

Yarra provides a comprehensive Prep transition program to ensure your child's transition from Kindergarten to Prep is smooth and positive.

Your child will attend four transition mornings in Term 4 to participate in engaging activities led by our Prep and Specialist teachers. They will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the school and teachers, and to build connections with other students. 

On Tuesday 9th December 2025, your child is invited to attend our whole school 'Step Up Day' with their 2026 homeroom teacher.

Parents will be invited to attend an information during the first transition session, covering topics of interest including:

• Organisation and attendance of Preps in the first few weeks of the new school year
• Compass (communication tool)
• School Uniforms online ordering
• TeamKids (Yarra's Before and After School Care)
• TK Tuckshop (Lunch Orders)
• Volunteers and classroom helpers
• School Councillors.
