Teaching Excellence Program

Yarra Primary School teachers Yasmin, Rachel and Harriet participated in the Teacher Excellence Program in 2022 and 2023. In 2024, we are so proud that Eve has been successful in achieving a place in this program for high-performing teachers. 

This means since its inception, Yarra Primary has had teachers recognised as 'highly-skilled'. The Teacher Excellence Program (TEP) requires an application process (including portfolio and interview) and is open to teachers with a minimum of three years’ teaching experience from the government, Independent and Catholic sectors. We know student learning growth is highly correlated with highly effective teachers and this is testimony to the fact that Yarra’s students are well-supported by excellent teachers.
