Yarra Out of School Hours Care (YOSH)

The Yarra Out of School Hours (YOSH) program is run by the School Council of YPS to provide quality care for students of local schools. YOSH is registered with the Commonwealth Government, and families using the service are eligible for childcare assistance.

Our Co-ordinator and Assistant are highly-experienced childcare workers with many years of out of school hours care experience as well as training in special needs and arts.

Before & After School Care

Before School Care: 7:00am - 9:00am
After School Care: 3:30pm - 6:00pm

We offer:

• activity programs catering for 5 to 11-year-old children including arts and crafts, cooking, sport, indoor and outdoor games;
• comfortable, safe and secure environment with its own external courtyard, undercover areas and use of school facilities including a large multi-purpose room, large grass area, full basketball court – lots of space;
• a range of nourishing breakfasts and after school snacks;
• special area set aside for homework with assistance available;
• comfortable area for resting, reading and relaxing.

Holiday & Curriculum Day Programs

7:00am - 6:00pm

With a range of exciting activities suitable for boys and girls of all ages. Past programs have included:

• sports clinics, table tennis tournaments, bowling, roller skating, kites;
• movies, Imax, museums;
• murals, Chinese calligraphy;
• Yum Cha, cooking;
• country and city excursions;
• Theme parties.

Fees

Fees per child:
Before School Care: $9.00 per session; $6.00 after 8:00am
After School Care: $12.00 per session
Holiday Program: $28.00 per day full fee plus $13.00 for excursions
Curriculum Day Program: $26.00
