Yarra Primary School recognises that children who are unwell or unhappy have great difficulty fulfilling their learning potential. The school has a number of policies and special programs in place to support all students within the school community:

• School Assemblies
  Once a week Yarra Primary holds a School Assembly, an education in formalities and routines.

• Homework
  Homework should be an enjoyable extension of what has been learnt at school, complementing and reinforcing ideas and concepts studied.

• Report Cards
  Sent out twice a year, Report cards are to give parents a clear picture of their child's progress against expected state-wide standards.
